Single 10 on single frame, gloss black mica, metal neck. 3x4, small cast pedals w/close spacing, long black knee levers, orig single coil p/u w/tone circuit. This guitar was purchased from the original owner and he took very good care of it. The mica is in great condition and ding-free. Ive buffed out the metal and installed a factory E9 setup w/Emmons pedal split. Comes w/original case and legbag in good condition. 1 Ace pak-a-seat included, also in good condition. $2250.00+shpg. Shipped on 24 hr. approval after reciept of funds, Cashiers Check preferred. This is a slick guitar and it has THAT sound. Thanks for your time.

Thanks, Paul. Everyone I talked to before putting the add up said I should ask at least $2500.00 but its a nice package, especially for someone just starting out, and I wanted it to be affordable.
updated 02/01; My email is fried, please call 615-446-5952 w/questions, etc. thanks. |

Mike, it's comforting to see how some Forum members like you are not out to make huge profits on their sales, especially in what are harder economic times. Very reasonable price for what I'm sure is a super guitar. GO STEELERS (both those who play pedal steel and the Pittsburgh football fans), Thanks, steve t |

Steve,
I wanted to keep it reasonable, and actually the final sale price was a bit below my asking price.
I just feel bad for the fellow who had to sell it to pay his bills. That shouldnt have to happen.
$$ is in today so the check is in the mail b0b.
thanks. |

Mike, I still find it commendable that you did not try to milk the situation and get much more for the guitar when you eaily could have. I also empahthize with the guy who had to sell this steel to pay his bills. Hope this trend of instrument selling based on need to buy basic necessities because of the economic recession does not continue too long. Thanks again. steve t |

I agree with Steve positively! In this era of the slow disintegration of our economy, some uplifting actions still manage to shine-a-light. You can be sure Mike's skillful care and special attention went to the benefit of both the reluctant seller and the new owner here. One word that comes to mind to describe this man's reputation and character in the Steel player's community (unlike the charlatans of Wall Street)..he is DEVOTED to us all.
You can take THAT to the bank! |

I should point out the sellers good character here; when I arrived to buy it he told me of several calls he'd recieved after mine, telling him that he'd sold it too cheap and that they'd give him more to back out on me. He was a man of his word though, and I hope the $$ went to good use, as will the guitar. |
