Can any ShoBud builders or rebuilders tell me which are the correct replacement tuners for a Super Pro? I looked at some Grover 210C's. They are called rotomatic and have a pin that fits in the mounting hole rather than the older style little "screw". It does appear, however, that the new tab pins are on the opposite end of the housing than are the older screw holes. (My screw hole tabs are on the opposite end of the main tuning KEY post in the housing). Would these new tuners move each individual tuning machine about 1 inch closer to the fretboard end of the keyhead? What I have read does call for the 210C but they look like they will mount differently as stated. Here are the closeups. Thanks for any help anyone could offer. It's time for new tuners here. Thanks. Zeke

My early eighties Pro-1 is built with Super-Pro parts ans has Sperzels. They are a short shaft so the 5 and 6 keys don't touch because of the narrow key head. They are hard to find with the short shaft.

Most late model SP's that I've seen had Grovers, but not like the one's pictured above. They were more like the Grovers that were on the older Buds, like the Professional.

More mysteries of Sho-bud. Figure that one out...

I contacted Grover directly with all of the information in the post above. Their response - "The 210c should work. Contact the experts at Allparts for more information". Dugh... I thought they were the experts. What a trip. Time to look at Sperzels I Guess. lol. and thanks.

I came across a pic of a SuperPro with what looks like the Grovers pictured above. Who knew?
