Saturday is completely filled up right now, and Sunday is almost filled up too, but there are still 2 open slots left. Anybody wishing to play, please contact me so I can sign you up.

Of course anybody wishing to come and observe the festivities is invited to do so. There is no admission charge. Come on down and watch pick and meet us all and join us for lunch.

This year's jam will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Feb 21 and 22m at the EL ARCO IRIS restaurant, 5684 York Blvd. in the Highland Park section of Los Angeles.

The usual suspects James. We get a lot of the same players every year. All the local heavyweights. But I don't think they would appreciate having their names mentioned here.

Come join us. Let me know if you want to play so I can sign you up.

James, by all means, please do. You can meet the players and schmooze with us etc. And please bring any friends who might be interested. (Remember this is a free event. No admission fee.)

Hi Mike!

That's right in my neck of the woods. What time are the festivities?

Best,

Julian

Mike - I'm thinking about setting up a little backdrop and offering to take nice photographs of players and their steels. Do you think there would be any interest? I'd offer the photos for sale for very little $$. You can check out some photographs I did a few years ago at the jam here:

Of course, what I'm thinking of is more of a portrait setting.

Let me know what you think...

Paul, I honestly can't say how people would react to your selling the pictures. Maybe they will go for it, maybe not. All I can say is come, bring your camera and see what happens.

One of the attractions of the jam is that it's free. nobody pays, and nobody gets paid. This is strictly for the love of playing and the chance to meet and pick together in an informal setting, away from the intensity of a steel show.

Even if you don't sell any pictures, you'll enjoy watching us play each other guitars with unfamiliar tunings and making fools of ourselves.
