Joe, I think that the third note and the fourth note in should be a tone higher. The first notes on that are: E,F#,A,C#. which are components of the A chord, which is the underling chord being played on the first bit of that steel intro. In the middle section, bar 2 of the steel solo, the notes are: G,G#,B,G#,G,F#,E,C#,B,E. As for the last section, it sounds like it's twinnned with the guitar and it's notes would be D,E,D,B,D. with the harmony being approx. a third above. Just my take on it, could be wrong but don't think so. If I've confused you with scripted notes, I could figure it out on steel and tab it, but I've never submitted tab on the forum before. It's funny, I've played this song a thousand times but never worked on it to get it right. Maybe this'll force me to nail it down. |

John you are 100% correct and I will have to figure out a way to revise my posting on you tube, dick yours works well for the main melody with out any twining with the guitar. I will post a tab of how Johns doing it the steel and guitar are twining the whole ending thats why some of the notes seem odd. _________________ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvuH7H8BajODaL_wy3_HSJQ |

"John if you dont mind check the very last one for me it all sounds great but I cant feel that last one dedbd part Joe" Joe, you have to seperate the harmony notes from the melody notes. They are just straight eighth notes coming in on the 3rd. beat of the 3rd. bar. I did them on the same fret as most of the other riff, think it was the 7th. fret in the key of E. |
