This amp has a power output of 185 watts @ 4 ohms, has six-6L6 power tubes, single channel, and is fitted into a compact Fender head cabinet. It does not include a speaker or speaker cabinet. It also has a 5-band EQ (similar to a session 500)that can be bypassed via a footswitch(also not included). Two of the EQ knobs have been damaged and are missing small pieces of bakelite, other than that, it is in good condition. These amps don't have reverb, but do have a distortion that is not very good sounding IMO. Caps were replaced and maintenance done on the amp 1 1/2 years ago by Backline in Fresno,CA. Price for the amp is $375.00 + shipping (probably weighs 40 lbs), US only.

Thank you,
Marty Nemanick

I used to use one of these heads when I was touring as a surf instrumental act in conjunction with a Fender reverb unit. It does not have a great distortion sound but has a tone of clean headroom and a lot of tonal possibilities. They are also built like a tank and are very responsive to changes in settings on the eq.

When I lived in Austin in the 80's, I actually damaged the frame of the house I rented with one of these. Vibrated the nails out. Mr. Green

(that was not a country band.....)

Dennis, I have been told that these amps were built in 1973 and 1974, but I'm not 100% sure. I'll try and get photos up later today.......Thanks.......Marty

Super Twins were made in 1975-76 (http://www.ampwares.com/amp.asp?id=104). Super Twin Reverbs were made in 1977-80. These amps have almost twice the power of a Twin. They have as much volume as a NV 1000, but its all gorgeous clean Fender tube tone. They are great for steel in situations with loud stage volume. You will never run out of sustain with your volume pedal.

marty, i think the head cabinet wasn't original and you just put the chassis into one?
what kind of head cabinet was it originally or is it custom work?
maybe you could tell me the measurement, too?
cheers from germany
guido

If you look at the last date on this post made by Marty you'll note that this is probably long gone, I don't watch posts this old either.
