This an Emperor model with a bridge pickup. I believe the Joe Pass has pickups built into the top, which I think changes the natural sound of the guitar?? This is sort of an acoustic/electric? It's a Gibson Epiphone, not from the old originals made in NYC! Don't I wish?! Adding 2 more pedals to the Excel soon. It's tuned C6th!

Doug was one of my hero's when I lived back there. He played on the radio and everything. I even went to his house once.

To show how small the music world is, the two he was playing with had a theme song that went, "There's a little light, always shining bright, in the window at the end of the lane."

When I moved to California, I spent several years playing with the man who wrote that song.

Bill-Yes that's Doug Seymour ,Bobby's Uncle,still at it at 80.Looking good.
That Epiphone with the pickguard pickup is a great guitar.used to be Made by Gibson. I had a Gibson L7 with pickguard pickup and there is no holes in the guitar to affect the tone or power. Just unplug it from the Amp, and it still plays loud...al.Wink
