The Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Steel Guitar Association consisting of: Ed Doty, Bob Duvall, Marty Neer, Gary Strode, Secretary/Treasurer and John Buffington, Board/President Chairman, after a lengthy discussion and deliberation, unanimously decided/voted that, in lieu of the current economic challenges/conditions facing us in today’s world, it is in the best interest of the association, that the OSGA Memorial Day Jamboree be postponed until 2010. This was not an easy decision! Discussion and official notice was given during the January meeting to the attending membership of the decision. The OSGA Newsletter will continue to convey the most up-to-date information to keep the membership informed of future activities being planned for the association throughout 2009. Our ultimate plans, mission and goal is to host a quality show for 2010.
We are planning however, a 1-day "mini-jam" of sorts on Memorial Day weekend so there will be steel guitar music in "T-Town" - just not on the scale as in the past for this year. More information as it becomes available on that upcoming event.
We appreciate and want to extend our thanks for the continued loyalty, support and understanding of our members, fellow musicians and friends.

The OSGA is a great organization and has been for the many years that I've been privileged to be part of the staff band. The organization has great officers and board members to oversee and take care of it's business and I'm sure that the decision not to have the entire show this year was certainly well thought out. If a "Mini-Jam" is indeed the order of business this year then this organization can surely count on me to be there to do my small part. So gentlemen I'll see you in "Tulsa Town" on Memorial Day weekend.
Best wishes,

I agree with Roy 100%.
The Tulsa gang has always been good to me. Its a great organization, and I am proud to have been a part of there annual show for several years.
I don't see any reason not to be a part of it this year{even on a smaller scale}.
So, to Brother John and all the guys and gals from the Tulsa OSGA, You can count me in.
See y'all in Tulsa on Memorial Day weekend.
