Drove my Webb down to see the Dr. today in South Georgia fully prepared to pay 250.00 to replace caps, etc. After taking it apart and looking at the condition he told me it didn't need it. Wouldn't even charge me for taking it apart and looking at it.
After getting taken advantage of so many times it sure is a pleasure to run into and honest man who knows his stuff. My amplifiers will never go to anyone else.
Thanks Ken... you're a good man. |

Thanks, to both of you. Dave's amp was a much newer model and in excellent shape. Just needed a little help with the reverb Molex connections.
The older amps like Roger's (late 70's and early 80's) really benefit from the upgrade. The caps in them are very aged. Also we upgrade the signal path caps and tone caps to film caps in these older amps. |
