Found out today that I'll be picking in Houston at the Stock Show (in one of the vender hospitality tents) on Friday / Saturday nights (Feb 27th and 28th). My first time to gig there....some of you that have played the event - what's to expect?

Anyone else there that weekend?

Gary, not to be negative, but expect the worst as far as load in/out, parking, etc. I live here and will not do the regular tents for less than $300/per night...it's not worth it to me. I wish you the best. Smile jc

Gary,
One other little piece of advice:
When you get back to your room or where ever you are staying after the gigs,,,,all the clothes you are wearing from socks to shirt or anything else, take 'em off and don't mix 'em with any of your other clean clothes that you will wear the next day. Trust me, they will be very full of BBQ smoke and such. Take a couple or three plastic garbage bags and keep them in those. Wash them separately, maybe even twice when you do the washing. I learned this the hard way many years ago. It cost me a fortune to have my whole closet cleaned.

PS: Oh, by the way, a long hot shower and shampoo would be advised too. LOL!
