I signed on to do the reminder post this month and Blake beat me to it! Anyway, ya'll come. Doesn't look like any of the Reed boys will be there this month. _________________ 2013 Brook Torridge, 2014 Martin 000-18, two homebrew Teles, Evans RE200 amp, Quilter 101R head, understanding wife of 45 years. Late again, as always! Thanks to all for posting. Tom was getting much better but has had a set back last few days. Several tests are running at the Dr today. Results expected tomorrow (Thursday 4/16). I hope to have him on line for next Tuesday. If not I will be looking for all the help I can get. Anyone attending last month is well aware that Tom was missed!
Thanks to all again!!

It looks like Tom will have to take another month off. Most tests have come back OK. Still has a few more the Dr. wants to have. It seems he has an internl infection. Shingles pain has subsided and he is no longer taking pain killers! He is very weak from weight lose, lack of excercise and low appitite. Bottom line: I need all the help I can get!!

Never fear, Clyde, we'll be there right after you set up the PA! No, seriously, Charles and I should be there in time to help you get everything set up. Maybe we should take Tom over to the Dutch Heritage and get him some of that fried chicken buffet - get the boy built back up. See ya Tuesday. _________________ 2013 Brook Torridge, 2014 Martin 000-18, two homebrew Teles, Evans RE200 amp, Quilter 101R head, understanding wife of 45 years. Thanks to Skip and Charley for your support. John King assures me he will be here to fill in on the bass gap. I will try to play the rhythm. Now If Blake will just grace us with those fine vocals, we will have it covered. Thanks again to all who attend for your support!!!

Gene we would love to have you attend one (or more) of our jams!
Bud we miss you and hope you are recovering from your travail. You have a better nurse than Tom. Tom seems to be a little better today. All test results came back negative. Two more are scheduled for this week.
Looking forward to loading, unloading, setting up, tearing down, loading up and unloading the P.A. and associated equpment tomorrow evening. (Can't hardly wait). It's a labor of love.

To all of our wonderful friends! I wanted to let you know that Roy is sick with an upper respiratory infection and I too have some health issues going on right now or we would be there tonight for SURE! Clyde, we are so sorry we can't help you out! We are keeping Tom in our prayers and it sounds like you could use a few for support from our Savior too!
Skip, John and the rest of you. Enjoy the jam for us and thank you all for helping Clyde out. I we have loved to hear Blake sing again. It's been a long time.

Another slow night at the Eagles this month but those attending had a great time! Three excellent steelers were on hand: Don Irwin with his great sounding Fender dual 8, Brian Ostrom from up Canada way with his beautiful red Williams, and Blake with his trusty Gibson. Blake and Brian also shared singing duties with a great mix of old and new tunes. Thanks to John King for taking over the bass chair to free up Clyde to play rhythm in Tom's absence. they both did a great job. Hopefully, next month we can add a few more players after folks get over their traveling and illnesses and whatever.
And, of course, I just enjoy being there and appreciate these guys letting me pick with them.
Also, thanks to Charles and all the other 'roadies' for helping Clyde out with the equipment. _________________ 2013 Brook Torridge, 2014 Martin 000-18, two homebrew Teles, Evans RE200 amp, Quilter 101R head, understanding wife of 45 years. 'Steeless' at the moment but looking...... |

Skip,
You forgot to mention your excellent lead work on
the Telecaster. You sure fielded all the odd songs
the steel players threw at you.

Boy, where do I start? Health and welfare: Laurie, sorry to hear You and Roy are "under the weather". We miss you both. Hope you are on the mend.
Skip, great report. I think you covered it all except you didn't mention our cinematographer "old what's his name" (I know it's Charley Hulen). Oh! as Blake pointed out your git pickin' ain't all that bad. (actually very good)
Don, Brian and Blake all did well tickling those strings. The vocals by Brian and Blake were crowd pleasers.
Who was that filling in the bottom on bass, oh yes, it was another steeler John King taking up the slack. Don't want him doing that to much-I might lose my place!
Last, and most importantly to my feet and back, THANKS to my favorite roadies. Blake and Mildred, I don't know how to thank you enough for all your support, musically and physically.
