This is was the first time I have attended the Phoenix show. We arrived Thursday evening in Phoenix for a weekend of nuttin but steel! On day 1 I was flattered that Billy Easton asked me if I would like to perform in the main room. However, Del had just delivered my new G2, a beautiful Blueberry SD12,4+5,(ill post some pics when I get home to Dallas) and i surely wasnt ready to "lower the bar" Rolling Eyes . I spent most of the weekend in the Mullen room doing the meet and greet. In the main room, there was magic in the air all weekend. This year I was just delighted to meet and speak with Norm Hamlett...One of our all time favorites. JayDee was in prime form as well as, Jim Lossberg, Bobby Black, Jim Cohen, Austin Stewart, Jerry Newberry...and Tommy Dodd.....WOW!..Tommy spent several hours with us just rippin the strings off the G2. Russ Hicks was doing the utility guy thing all weekend. His sets were consistently fabulous as well. All in all, this was a great, great show, and i feel very fortunate to have made a lot of new friends.
John Lemay came by the Mullen room as well to show off his new Lemay single rack space preamp. Del just had to use it onstage and bought one on the spot. For those of you that arent familiar with John, he developed his "Lemay mod" for the Peavey amps, which was quite popular. He has taken it to the next level, with a really warm, robust, and verstaile unit that sounds absolutely great.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in Dallas this year!>......peace!...Mickey[img][/img]
