Thank you Joseph for posting this intro...I have always loved the steel guitar work on Connie Smith's songs. When I was living in Richlands Virginia I was playing some steel guitar for a woman that sang that song a lot. That was in the Bluefield WV area where Mel Street had his television show on WHIS TV. I was inspired to play steel guitar from watching Buddy Pennington who played steel with Mel Street's band The Swing Kings.

John you are welcome, Im about 2 1/2 hours from bluefield. I have a friend that can sound just like connie. honest if you heard her singing in a different room where you could not see her you would think it was Connie. Im working on that intro to ill come running. Ive been working on that one for a very long time and using that song as a goal. once a person can get that one down then you know youre on the right path. I still have a ways to go.

You hang in there Joe and you'll get it. I've been working a lot on some good speed picking songs but I to have a long way to go.

thanks for the push, I work 3 hours a day sometimes more, and believe it or not by posting on you tube it takes a different path though ( my brain ) that helps me learn as well. for what I do for you tube sticks in my head better for myself. one of my weakness is I never took the time to learn instrumentals but can play them in the middle of a song that someone is singing but for someone to say play a instrumental I go blank lol. I focused more on fills it seems and even though alot of people will play a song different I always like using stock intros. then after that add some other stuff
