MATCHBOX 7A. Gain Question ???

I just recieved a new Matchbox 7A, but the gain control does not turn the volume completely OFF , my old 6A did, is this new 7A functioning properly ??? shouldn't the gain control turn the volume completely off to where there will be no sound???Thanks in advance..Bob

Bob, at far left/zero point on the gain knob, I believe that's parity, no gain change. From there you just turn clockwise for more gain, or punch as I like to think of it. All volume off comes from the volume pedal, not the 7A.

I have one and love it for us with Goodrich pot pedals, improves the tone immensely, would not play out without it.
