Damir,
I grew up there! I now live in the Portland, Oregon area but I get down there a few times a year to visit my mom and a few old friends. I lived there from 1949 to 1976, until moving north so of course I know the area very well. Please get in touch with me if you need any specific information.
Best regards,
Lynn |

well, that would probably be City Of San Franciso, I`m interested in City Of South San Francisco wich is about 10-15 miles south from San Francisco. South San Francisco is industrial city of only about 60 000- 70 000 people, if I`m not mistaken.

Damir,
Forumite Steve Benzian lives in Burlingame, which is very close to the area you are interested in. I'm sure he would have all the info you would need

Hi Damir,
South City is the butt of many jokes here in S.F., but it's a solid working class town. I played my first steady sit down weekend job there in the early 70's at the Silver Dollar Club.
Michael, don't worry about being politically correct. My philosophy is as long as a joke isn't mean spirited, let it fly. My gay friends at work would have laughed.

What Joe said.
Plus...
South SF is the center of the biotech industy worldwide, it is the home of Genentech, the first biotech company, which in turn created quite a boom in that kind of very high tech industry there. So by industrial, it is not so much smokestack kinds of factories as it may once have been.

Mikey's obviously never been to SSF. It's basically a working class suburb, close to the SFO international airport.
Since this isn't a steel guitar topic I'm closing it. Feel free to email me if you need more specific info about SSF. _________________ -πππ- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |
