I got into the effects on my Roland VS88 during practice this morning and found the strings effect to be a pretty cool effect for the steel. I'm using it through a set of headphones for practice and it sounds pretty fair!

did you mean VS880? i hope so cause I have one kicking around I need to sell. This is the 8 track digital recorder yes?

Oops! You are right, Ben! It is the VS880. Great machine for recording, practicing your guitar, PSG, and such. I use it for guitar/vocal demos of my songs, too. I've used it now for quite a while. This one was actually given to me when a friend of mine was upgrading to the 1680.
