Too bad the inspiration had to come at a heavy cost.
You picked the right tune and did a fine job.

Ray, I think Kay does his own studio work.

Thanks Ray and Ron, meant a lot.

The keyboards and sampled synthesizers, as well as the Strat lead guitar were all played by Chick Holland. For the steel leads I used my West Coast C6th lap steel and my MSA pedal steel C6th neck. The recording and mixdowns were done on two Korg D1600 recording/mixing boards, 24 bit recording to get the extended dynamic range I needed for this tune. I used a volume pedal to a Fender HotRod valve amplifier from which I connected to the mixing board with an optical compressor(Aphex Punch Factory).

Kay, I've listened to all your songs on the website and I honestly have to tell you I think this is your best effort. Absolutely spell binding. Love it.

Thanks for the post Gerald

Kay, that's beautiful - smooth and soulful.
Clearly you put your whole heart into it.
Thank you for sharing it with us - and thanks to Gerald for posting it.
