just a couple of questions:
1] Why 2 jacks? is it wired for stereo?
2] What's the function of those 2 extra adjustable strings that are beyond the changer and connect to the end-plate? They are not connected to the changer, |

Tony,
To answer your questions:
Of those 2 jacks, one is a spare. I basically used it to plug my tuner in, so I did not have to unplug my amp.
The two springs your asking about, I am not sure what they are for. I will have to check closer when I get home from work...
I hope this helps....

Brandon, Tony,
I'm not familiar with this brand of psg, but it looks like something on others I have seen, and could be they were put there to facilitate split tunings, just a guess. _________________ Mullen Lacquer SD 10, 3 & 5; Mullen Mica S 10 1/2 pad, 3 & 5; BJS Bars; LTD400, Nashville 112, DD-3, RV-3, Hilton VP . -- Gold Tone PBS sq neck; Wechter Scheerhorn sq neck. -- "Experience is the thing you have left when everything else is gone." -anon.- |

The more I look at it, the more convinced I am that they are for half-stops.
It appears that if you had an extra bellcrank on a knee lever cross shaft (e.g. 2nd string lower: D#--C#), you could run a pull rod through one of these springs and tune it to engage at the half-stop "D".
Adjusting the return spring tension would determine how strong the detente would feel. |
