Hey Bruce...It's gonna be a lot of fun 'hooking up' again with the Pickett boys, Jerome Vogel,Roger and the rest of the guys...the Friday nite jam is always a blast....BTW, I'm bringing a guest performer with me and we're gonna 'burn it down'....we've got a little time so I'll holler at you again before the show.
In His service,
Russ

Bruce,
I will be there for sure! I am looking forward to hearing you play again and the opportunity to meet Russ. I'll be there for the jam, but I will just observe this time. I will spare everyone the anguish. Laughing

Hey there Tommy! Likewise, it will be a hoot. I feel very privileged and fortunate to have Bob's old steel. I guess my band and I will be backing up Bob Frederick, he has been playing with us off and on for about a year. I hear Roger isn't playing this year. Do you know who the lead man is going to be?

Jeff, I will be there up to 5:30. My band actually booked a date in Moline on that evening (7-11). It was kind of against my will, I wanted to be there all day. This was also worked out with Bruce's approval also. I will help the show as much as I can. Good to hear Russ and special guest will be there. Also I hope Scotty and Miss Mary make it, I sure miss them. Everyone have safe travels here and back home.

Jeff, I am the sap who is going to try to fill Roger's shoes after 5:30. I am thinking that I need to knock some of the rust off of my strings. Shocked

Come on Chuck. It's just players like Russ Wever, he'll probably do "How are things in Glocca Morra" or possibly a Horace Silver tune " Song for my Father" or "NIght in Tunisia". You can handle those. And that Hicks guy. Just when he wants to play fast, lean over and blow in his ear. He'll lose grip on the bar. You'll do just fine after that.
