Thank God his dad asked him if he'd like to switch to steel from violin!

Hey Bo,

Its from 2002...

I found it while looking for PSG makers who had booths at NAMM 09

I think only Carter had a booth?

I could listen to Buddy all day, talking or playing. I love all his CDs, especially "Live In Denver."

I remember that Bob Knight and I were just going into
the Gaylord Arena for the NAMM show and saw Buddy giving this interview. It was so noisy we couldn't
hear a word they were saying.

Anybody have any luck finding the interviews they did with Speedy West and Alvino Rey? They say they've done them but I don't find them in their online archives.

I can't get this to play! Does one have to be a member to access it? All I get is that spinning disc in the centre of the little screen, but nothing else, save for a 'still' of BE at the start.

Confused

Sorry Guys... I'm not sure why its not working for everybody.

You don't have to log in or be a namm member to view it.. I don't have a log in

I tried it with Safari and Firefox it ran well on both, using DSL. but I can't get it to download using keepvid which works for Youtube stuff.

Maybe someone more computer savvy can chine in and help??

Yes, it would be nice to be able to hear the whole clip in its entirety.
I downloaded the whole interview and then tried to play it.
All it did was start over downloading again, very frustrating. Sad

You gotta love the caption under the video:

"Buddy Emmons is on the short list of the most influential steel pedal guitarists "

Of course this is just NAMM and has nothing to do with music or Instruments Laughing
