Back in 1953/54? I will never forget the first
time I heard Elvis Presley's recording of this
song. It changed my whole outlook on music and
approach to guitar.

Elvis did the song in E and Scotty Moore came up with
a killer lick that still lives on today. In my
arrangement on C6th I could not get the sound I
wanted in E so I transposed to G Major and was able
to come off the 7th fret to open position and
get some semblance of Scotty's lick.

Chet Atkins recorded it on one of his albums in
1972 or thereabouts and that helped me a lot in
getting the "feel".
