I was in a local music store today and was looking to see what they had for amps. The owner came over and when he learned I play pedal steel, he was very interested, and we talked for quite a while.

He said that in his 25 years in business he had only seen one PSG come through his shop: 4 years ago, a guy had traded it in, and that, coincidentally his wife had been wanting one, so he brought it home.

I asked what kind it was, and he said he didn't remember but it had playing cards on it. So I said, oh, a show-bud. Then I mentioned B.E. and he said "That's what it is I think, an Emmons".

Well Now I am confused, because I don't remember seeing an emmons with the card frets. I thought they all had atoms. Did Emmons ever use the sho-bud playing card design?

Sho~Buds and Emmons have two different scale lengths.

Emmons are 24 1/4" and Sho~Bud is 24".

I'll bet the chances are good that his wife doesn't play it. GET IT!
