You know those big clunky Morley pedals from the 70's? I had one given to from a music store, and it sucks tone and volume big time out of my regular guitars, but today I tried it on my steel, and it did tame the dynamics, but not in bad way. It actually gave my steel a vintage type of sound like some of the old 50's and 60's steels. Some purists might think this is crazy, but I think it might be an interesting possibility for someone who wants a more vintage tone on a modern psg.

Yes...I had one of the early Morley "Photocell"
pedals, but the size of the unit excluded it from
PSG implementation ; I sold it later on ; quite cool
& very Retro...McUtsi

I've been using it for a long time now. Sounds great for steel and im a tone freak. Only disadvantage is the size, so you will have to adjust the height of the steel a little bit. It has MUCH more volume sweep than the main PSG VP's today and the swell is just as smooth.

I've done A/B with all the popular volume pedals and I just keep going back to that ole Fat Morley

To each his own. I can get great tone playing thru a milk crate if you gave me enough time
