I am doing a little studio work for a up and coming local band. When they asked me about a fee I said , "Just album credits are enough" afterall they are just starting out and dont have any money anyway plus, I like there style...so they go to an acution and bring me this and say "thanks"!! I politly declined and convinced the lead player to take it home and experiment!! Winking But, I cant help but think that I have seen this ...thing...
somewhere before. How about it? any of you ever run into this??Sad all pics are thumbnails )

made out of 3/4" plywood. I believe it was from a banquet table (really)

three sides seem to be made from a naugahyde type of material

here you can see a resonator cone that is mounted resting against the bottom

yep...you can see the sheet metal and metal rod frets and yes...those are thumbtack markers....23" scale and I must say it pretty much plays in tune. of course the pickup was never installed ( its a Strat type)and the reso cone does nothing. Someone spent some time on this.
I KNOW that I have seen pictures of this somewhere before. Thought it might have been here. ?????

I think you probably saw Michael Myers playing it in the movie "Halloween: Resonator."
