For the information of anyone in the Oklahoma City Metropolitan area, March 23, 2001, was the opening date of the summer season performances of the Preservation Playhouse in Historic Guthrie, Oklahoma, where I am priviledged to work with a cast of talented performers for another year on both the "Hot Country" and "Take Me Back To Tulsa" productions. Schedules are listed at: http://genejones.bizland.com/schedule.htm

Since we got all the rehearsals out of the way, I love this job more everyday....I get to play on the E9 neck on "Hot Country" nights, and on alternate nights I get to play western-swing on the C6.

I am thankful to be so fortunate at this point in my life.....I went into deep depression for awhile at age 30 thinking I had reached the age of being too old to do this anymore and my career would soon be over....and here I am in my late 60's still working. Thank you Lord!
