Jerry Brightman was cooking at Bolivar show tonight. When he took his first break and did a slide up real high it was amazing. Mike Sigler was great too, as always. If you have never heard him he will be at the Choo Choo show. Everyone done great and there was a lot of good picking. Jerry I wanted to talk to you but I missed you.

Thanks to everyone who attended. There was a super turnout for this jam. 28 steels in one room makes for a fun afternoon

Sorry I missed your show at the Opry House Mike & I appreciated the phone call buddy.
I was suffering from jet lag last weekend
I was wishing you could make it to our show at the Opry House this week, I would love to sit out front & listen & take notes LOL.
Later friend

PS,, I heard your show as sold out at the Opry & they turned people away at the door.
so if you hear someone knocking at the back stage door some night..Its me LOL

Anyone who missed the jam at Bolivar missed a
great day. Mike is unbeleiveable, and it's
very evident that Jerry still has the skills
he had when Buck Owens sang for him. Jerry told me he plans to make the April 22ed Jam.
Is the world ready for Jerry Brightman and
Joe Wright in the same day. Thanks to everyone who made it to the show. Take care,
and we'll see you in April. Dick

What a day, I left for a 270 mile round trip for some good steel playing and it was great. JERRY BRIGHTMAN, what can you say, DO NOT miss him the next show. Jerry turned to the band and said " Home on the Range", kind of unusual for a steel show? Not the way Jerry played it. I have never heard it played with so much expression and feeling. It reminded me of what Speedy said about Jimmie Day one time in St Louis."When the music leaves his brain it has to go through his heart before it gets to his hands", this rendition by Jerry was exactly that, just outstanding. We also got to hear some Buck Owens. It was sure a treat to get to meet him and talk for awhile, he is another example of a steel player that is approachable and easy to talk to. I hope the pictures all turn out good. Also Chick Donner did everyone proud with the D-12 Emmons on the song "We Could ". Mike Sigler, another great job and the people at the Choo Choo show is in for a real treat if they haven't seen him before. It was a very entertaining day except when I left to go home, walked out the door into a snow storm and thinking "OH no, I have to drive home in this" 9 miles down the road I drove out of the storm and had a safe trip home. Rick and Mike put on a great jam, try to make it and you will not be disappointed. Everyone did a fine job and I had the chance to talk to some of the players for and extended time and get to know them better. I hope that Jerry continues to turn out for the steel shows and jam sessions. With him in the loop it's just one more reason to say " Steel Guitar Is Alive And Well In Ohio."

You guys are right. It was one good time. I had a ball. Jerry Brightman was unreal. As usual Mike is a handfull. Wayne H. did a fantastic job at "Somewhere over the Rainbow" thet really set me on my heels. Larry Cole and Greg Z "the Williams twins" you guys are da men. Jim Thompson also was just a pleasure to listen to as always. Of course Chick Donner was great, Mike "The Monster" Meese, Rick Troyer you guys make a great show even better. Everyone did a great job and also a great bunch of people. Thanks to all you make the four hour drive worth it everytime. P.S. There is no truth to the rumour that Chick Donner and Jerry Brightman and Mike Sigler and myself will be starting a group called the "Waist Band".
