I promised Mike Dotson I'd fire up a little video of myself playing the walnut Fry Pan he built for me, so I figured I'd post it here so you could check it out, as well. Very lo-fi (I'm a visual arts idiot) and just a quick rendition of Speedy West's "Steelin' Moonlight". I'm playing through my Princeton Reverb. The pickup on this was made by Rick Aiello and it is incredible.

Next, I'll have to shoot a quick video of the Clinesmith.... _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

Cool! Almost Filtertron-like in the tight, articulate mids... a very Hi-Fi sounding pick-up with the wood body maybe shading the high end cut just a bit. Thanks for posting and congrats to Rick, Mike & Mike for a great collaboration. It takes guts and hard cash to try something new and you guys succeeded nicely. |

Nice job, Mike! I liked it well enough to give it five stars.
Did the guitar turn out close to what you originally had in mind? |

Excellent job on the Speedy tune, and that guitar sounds great! I like how the highs and lows are well balanced, and present. Congrats on the guitar, i'd say it's a keeper! |

Hey Mike, thanks for putting this out for all of us to appreciate. Kudos to Mike D. for the gorgeous guitar, and to Rick for the fabulous-sounding pickup!
You're a man of many tunings...that 6-string A6 (?) doesn't seem to get much use these days. Nice pickin'! |

Mitch, guitar to volume pedal straight to Princeton Reverb. The camera (Sony Cyber-shot mic did the rest).
Thanks for checking out the Maricopa Fry Pan. It's a blast to play. Up next is the Clinesmith and, yes, Gerald, you will see my ugly mug. I've got a real video camera and an A/V link and I'm working on shooting some Speedy West instructional stuff. I've done some transcriptions of some tough tunes. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |
