On the 15th December 08 the British Steelies had a meet at a club in Dorset.
The event was well attended by many steel guitar fans, and a rake,(the english word for many) of steel guitarists of great renowned.
The evening went off as expected,with some great tunes,played as only steel guitarists can play them.
Also in attendance were some of the british contingent of steel guitarists, and one came form as far afield as Ireland,alas without there steels, as there was not enough time to fit everyone into the program.
It was an enjoyable evening in respect that we were able to meet our fellow steel players, which of course is not an option we get throughout the year.
All in all, a good time was had by one and all.Slim.
