I am Listing this for my friend Gary Vanasse, who is the owner of Ampworks an amp repair shop in Mass. Gary is a fantastic amp tech, and I will vouch for the quality of his work. Up for sale vintage Mesa Boogie Mark IIB combo. Manufactured 7/11/81. This is an all original model that has 4 of the then available options. It is the stained wood cabinet with the wicker cane grill. This is the 100 watt/60 watt version ( not the simulclass ). It has the 200 watt Electro Voice EVM 12L 12" speaker ( not the 150 watt mesa ). It has the 5 band EQ. This model has reverb and an effects loop on the back. These are great amps for guitar or steel. I was working at Mesa when the Mark IIb's were built, and there's a 50/50 chance that I actually wired this one.

that looks like an exact mate to mine... I bought mine new back in 80 or 81 but after all this time I've never played my steel through it... I'm gonna have to give it a try.
It's a fantastic sounding guitar amp with switchable lead channel and reverb.

Ive only played it for about an hour, with 6 string. Thats cool b0b, its a small world heh? I have no Idea what they are going for moneywise, I know that Gary is flexable, and very honest. Anyone who is interested should give him a call and chat. I know moneys tight... trust me I know. These things are not seen too often anymore (at least by me) and I work at an amp shop! I used to see them when I was a kid and always loved the look and sound.

The headroom on a 100 watt Boogie is incredible. My personal Mark IIb back then was a 60 watt and that was plenty of power for any gig I played.

Ronnie Neighbors from Arkansas plays through a Boogie, or did a couple of years ago at the Oklahoma show. He sounded great, and it sure didn't slow him down any.

geez... now im gonna have to plug the steel into it! on second thought maybe not, I dont want to be obsessing over any more stuff I cant afford!

In 1981 I bought one of these brand new with an EV 15L,reverb, graphics, simulclass, hardwood....the works. Bob wired mine together and initialed the chassis....I still play steel through it often...It has been the most reliable piece of gear ive ever owned...That cabinet on this one is Padauk wood.....very nice!...
