Our next Jam is 21 Feb 2009, from 10am to 2pm, at the Country & Western Museum, 3725 S.E. 29th Street, Del City. Del City is 5 minutes from down town Okla. City on I 40.

I want to thank every one for the great turn out at our last Jam. I wish I could have been there, but I plan to be there this time. My operation was succesful, and I thank all of you for your prayers and calls.

Thanks Leroy for the post. We all rejoice in your successful operation and what seems a quick recovery.
The power of prayer brings positive results.

Seems like you, Gene Jones and myself were on medical leave last month. I was attending my wife who was in the hospital and glad to report that she is doing well.

I look forward to next Sat. as I know nothing at the present that will keep me from attending. I hope Ernie can attend as I sure missed hearing him on his Steel!!

Leroy Glad you are doing fine. I talked to Ken Collins and if his schedule will permit he will be there. Missed you and several of the others. We had some new great pickers show up last time. Is the jam from 10:00-2:00 or 3:00 o'clock? See you Saturday!

Ernie Thanks for your kindness and support. We try to start about 10am and go to 2pm or until the band gets tired. The time is flexable for each player because of other schedules or jobs.

As I was in town last month, I had time to stop awhile at the Oklahoma City Jam. If you are from the area, and enjoy steel guitar, I urge you to attend. Plenty of good music, coffee, and hospitality.

My regrets that I had to miss the jam because too many years of sitting in front of amplifiers has seriously diminished my hearing. I'm hoping that new technology may eventually find a solution.

Meanwhile, I hope that I'm welcome to drop by for the coffee and donuts. Very Happy

You were missed Sat at the jam, and will be greatly missed in the future. I hope something can be done to correct your hearing problem. You are more than welcome to drop by for a visit, and maybe give us some pointers on how you do those sweet C6 licks.

I agree with Leroy all the regulars that could not make it were sincerely missed! Gene, we want you to show up just you being there gives guys like me encourgement. All of you that have reached the proffesional leval like Ernie, Gene, Ken (Collins), Leroy and others that have made an appearance once or twice just don't realize what you are giving back to keep this great instrument alive. We do appreciate you more than you will ever realize.

Yes, we had a very fun jam Sat. with more new faces showing. In fact, everyone was having such a good time that it just seemed like no one wanted to quite.

Our back up band was playing better than ever before. Thanks to you guys for your willingness to make this such a fun time.

Thanks Corkey for traveling all the way from Bartlesville to join us. You are welcome any time.

Leroy and Loren, many thanks for the kind words.

For someone like me approaching the big 80 and who never expected to live beyond 50, I appreciate it more than you can know. The LORD has been more generous to me than I have deserved.
