Here is a very nice "no name" Dobro.
It plays great and sounds good, too.
This was a prototype made for distributors.
Would be great for a beginner or a pro who wants a nice sounding, inexpensive dobro.
$500. (OBO) includes a molded case.

Hi Darrell
Is this a solid sitka or cedar top or a pressed ply top??
Let me know.
Thanks |

Interesting. The body shape and finish look much like a Regal RD-45, but the screen holes are out much closer to the sides and the ebony/ebonized board with fancier inlays is different from the stock Regal.
Looks like a nice guitar. |

I don't know whether it is solid or pressed. Looking into the holes with a magnifying glass, I cannot see any layers. It appears to be solid, but I cannot say for sure. I would be safe to say it is not a premium sitka, but the short answer is, "It sounds pretty good!"
I am not a dobro player. (My wife verified that)
SOOO . . . those of you who are familiar with the instrument feel free to jump in and help me out. If you want it, make a reasonable offer and you just might be the new owner.

I have a Johnson that looks identical I would describe it as a solid spruce top with laminated mahogany back sides A good friend of mine paid a lot more for a different brand and claims he likes the tone on mine better! but as always that's a matter of opinion.
either way that's a nice looking square neck resonator
Here's what mine looks like
