Thank you for sharing the photos. I wish I had been able to make it down last Tuesday night. All five of those guys are monster musicians, and it's just a treat to hear them play.
Of course, I just can't say enough good things about Paul Franklin. One night Mike Johnson, Donna Hammitt, and myself were setting there just marveling at the creativity Paul has. His execution is just on another level than I am famiilar with - the steel is just an extension of his mind.
I could go on and on - actually I have re-written this sentence several times becasue I'm trying to find a way to express myself.
I heard this line out of the movie "Crossroads" recently - "... you got to take the music past where you found it." Paul, Brent, John, Michael, and Eddie have certainly done that. |

I agree with David. What's even greater is to get to hear them play THEIR music. Their creativity extends to composition as well as improv -- they're great at both! After decades of being a Franklin and Mason fan, I must admit I left Third and Lindsley as a John Hobbs fan as well. (and, for that matter a Michael Rhodes and Eddie Bayers fan too)
Seeing The Players is an experience I'd highly recommend. (it ain't country, though)
