Hey Guys, John send me a CD with 20 instrumentals on it most of them Non Pedal with his triple neck.

And A few at the end on his Derby Pedal steel. He had a very good accompaniment on Rythm guitar.

They were all Classic tunes, he used all three necks on the various songs. Did a great job. Very precise and all and all, fine playing. Check with John and see if you can get one of his CD's. Nice going "Keoni" John....al.SmileSmile Very Happy Very Happy Cool Cool

Finally had the opportunity to kick back and fully enjoy this VHS tape, and I must say it's a real keeper.
Do yourself a favor and beg John for a copy.
Right from the start it's obvious John loves the steel, is a serious devotee of the Jerry Byrd sound, and has Western swing in his blood.
This 3 piece steel recipe comes topped with the above mentioned, superb rhythm accompaniment that never faulters.
Both players tone is on the money.
The audio is good, and it's all filmed so you can easily see everything the players do to study and steal from, or just tap your toes and dig the music as two Masters lay it out.

Thanx again, John, this was a jaw-dropper!

Thanks a bunch Ron! That's one of the nicest compliments I've ever gotten about my playing and I really appreciate it! I just wish we could have gotten a better production than I was able to do on my very first attempt at doing a Home~Video!

That video was made in the Rhythm-Guitar player's Music Store (Richard Dennis, at Tusculum Music, Nashville, Tn.) as he was clearing out, closing up and retireing. Now I don't even have a room to do it in! But, it was a fun thing to do! I give most of the credit for a good overall sound to the expertise of Richard Dennis! Almost all of the tunes were completely new to him!

John sent me the VHS as well. It is great! Thanks John for a solid rendition of many great tunes... especially for me - just starting out on non-pedal steel guitar!!
