My dear friend Jeff Chance, great singer and musician(fiddle and steel guitar) passed away to be with the LORD. His Funeral will be at the 1st. Lutheran Church in El Campo Tuesday, Dec 16 at 2:00PM. Jeff will be missed by all that new him. May GOD bless, comfort, and keep his family always. Jody.

This is sad news. An extremely talented vocalist and musician. Jeff had a couple of major label deals,one with the group "Chance" and the other as a solo. Wonderful recordings BTW.

Yes — strong vocalist. My first exposure to him was [with his status] as a major label (Mercury) artist. It was a surprise to find him working as a sideman for various Texas outfits.

thanks for the info Jody , i only recieved limited info concerning this matter . Jeff , Mickey & their Dad Sonny , are lifelong friends of mine , we grew up about 8 miles apart from each other , Jeff has always been one of my musical heros , i have followed his career since i was about 7 and was proud of every goal that he achieved , he deserved to be held in high esteem by his peers , he could make a broomstick sound good , he will be missed dearly , my condolences go out to his friends and family , Walk softly on the bridges that your burning . sincerly , Fiddlin Keith Junot

I'll really miss Jeff. I had the great pleasure and priveledge to play quite a few gigs with him over the last few years. He was such a talent. God Bless him and his family.

Jody, I,too,was unable to attend.Jade had a gig at Reliant Center for a Committee meeting and she had to have transportation.Thats what grampa's are for isn't it. I will get by to see his family in next few days.
