I was watching a Stringmaster D-6 out of curiousity as I also have one. It was missing the covers, blend knobs, and diamonds. The bottom was painted and the legs are not original. He had a pending offer and now it's sold, BIN. I would have thought around $1000. Was this new buyer insane or have the values gone up that much? Using this sale as a benchmark, mine should be worth at least $2K as it's in exc. cond.

The new buyer had zero feedback, which could mean this was a new buyer who had no experience with this type of guitar (i.e. more money than sense), a shill bidder designed to drive up the market, or the seller bought it back for some reason. There isn't always a lot of logic applied to eBay auctions.
