I just recorded this ol' Bob Wills tune yesterday.
I played the Gibson Console Grande into the Fender Pro - E13 and A6 tunings.
Also a Guild X-500 archtop into a silverface Twin Reverb, a Taylor 714CE acoustic and a Fender Precision bass.

Been Runnin around, seen many a town and I'm not the kinda guy to brag, but listen to me and see if you don't agree no melody rolls like Rick's Roly Poly Rag, and when he slides that thing along the strings, sounds so heavenly, you can hear those Angels Sing,and when Rick starts that beat you'll stomp your feet, the melody to that Roly Poly Rag Ah Ha San Antone.

Rick,
In the early 1960's many Western Swing and old (and great) Country Music stars fell on slim times as newer music took over the wave front of records, radio and career sustaining gigs, ....and music's rediscovery period had not yet begun. A number of those great old Stars either lived, hung out or played around San Antone with casual backup Musicians. I was so very lucky to get in on allot of those casuals as a young teenager, in many Dance Halls, bars and honkey tonks in and around San Antone. Roly Poly was one of the standard fare. Although there were some magic nights when the old Stars and the casual Musicians clicked, ....I don't righfully recall hearing it done any better than you have, Rick. It really brought back some mighty fine memories; Thank You.
