just got a new nv112 and noticed there's no ground switch,i'm thinking it must be built in, how would this affect touching a mike? or eleminate house line noise _________________ MSA S12 Classic XL 5/5

lol could be I'm outa date on buying new stuff ..but my NV400(old) has 3 prong ac plug and has a ground switch, nothing to worry about i'm sure just curious as to why no ground swtiching option _________________ MSA S12 Classic XL 5/5

There are capacitors across the AC line input and no switching is needed. As most (not all, but most) AC power receptacles are now grounded (and hopefully wired correctly) there is no need for the old grounding switch that was on two wire (no ground) AC power connectors.
All new electronic equipment, such as amps, must conform to and be certified by the UL (Underwriters Lab).
As you have probably noticed it also has the plug in "computer" type (IEC) power cord and that too is a UL requirement. |

Hopefully, every outlet that you plug your amp into is wired according to code, then there is no worry. |
