Those of you who have frequented the ELKS CLUB in Waikiki probably recall the fine jazz pianist, PAT SYLVA who specialized in Hawaiian music on the piano with his group. Pat passed away very recently from cancer, his ashes scattered 'beyond the reef' from the Elks Club yesterday. Pat was one of the ORIGINAL members of the famous "SURFERS" who turned out at least 6 Hawaiian lp's during the 1950/60 era. Pat was also a very fine vibraphone player...a great guy ! Sad
