Looking for a source for a replacement "spider" potentiometer like used on the old SUNN Amps.
Best regards, Jay Thompson |

Do you mean slider pot?
Go here, and type slide into the search box. (They carry about a dozen different types.)

Donny, This pot is designed for a printed circuit board, Having three solder lugs and a fourth support leg which stick straight down rather then out the side. Hence the reference to a spider. Need 1 meg, audio taper, 1/4" shaft. |

Sorry Jay, that term "spider pot" for a PC mount control is a new one on me! They're also sometimes referred to as "long tine" pots, but they're basically just PC-mount controls.
The ones with a metal support lug (for a more rigid mount) can be very hard to find in certain sizes. Most techs just use standard PC-mount pots, and then fabricate a "support lug" using bus wire. |
