Scroll down to "Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb reissue BLONDE". I didn't realize that so few were made. I didn't notice the "40th Anniversery" plaque until I brought it home. I thought it sounded significantly better than the other DRRIs(two standard models) in the room. The fact that it was blonde and said "updated cabinet and speaker" on the tag was lost on me.

Does anyone know anything about these? Is it common for Fender to only make 150 of anything?

I don't know about production numbers, but I believe the anniversary DRRI's came with an upgraded alnico speaker, maybe a Jensen P12R or P12Q. This would probably account for the better sound.
