Does anyone know who the steel player is in this old Lucille Starr video I turned up on Youtube? It's from a country music festival in the Netherlands and I did find a reference to 'The West Virginia Railroad Band' as the group backing her up. I couldn't find anything on them though.

After doing a lot more digging I found that Lucille Starr's ex-husband and co-performer, Bob Regan, played several instruments including pedal steel. So the player may be Bob Regan, originally from British Columbia. I hadn't heard the name before.

I worked on several gigs with Lucille and Bob Regan. The steel player is not Bob Regan. When they were together Bob called himself the World's Fastest Guitar Player. (I bet that didn't sit well with Joe Maphis}. For short while in the sixties they had their own group Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Pioneer Room in Norwalk. We all paid attention to Lucille, she was a "Real Doll".

Nor Al DeMeola and John McGlaughlin either.

Thanks Nick. I looked for a bit of background but the only Jay Fox musician that turned up on Google is an acccordian player with a well known Bavarian music band. I guess that's not the same guy, right?
