Great song! It was written by Matraca Berg and Ronnie Samoset who also wrote Patty's old hit "I'm That Kind of Girl".

I wish I had played on that record, that's Russ Pahl doing some of the cool stuff he does using delays, some really different sounds for steel that fit the song perfectly. Russ is really creative and plays on a lot of great records, I'm surprised he doesn't get mentioned on the forum more often.

thanx pete. well, you are a great player as well, but i find it interesting to hear so little about russ also. i first heard him on the gretchen wilson cd and actually thought it might have been john hughey on 'when i think about cheatin'..or whatever that song was..
anyway thanx, keep up the good work...i envy you getting to play with patty!

Hey Pete,Is " David Turner " still with Patty? I'm the one who took care of the guy with his yellow Car that was stocking Patty in Victorville,California. Also at her gig at the Crazyhorse in Irvine,California when she had that great little Guitarist for down-under with her on tour.LJ

David Turner's not with Patty anymore, he's been working for Josh Turner (no relation) for the past few years. Great tour manager and good guy...

Jedd Hughes has been gone from Patty's band for 4 or 5 years. He's been doing his own solo stuff and has also toured with Rodney Crowell...
