I'm a newbie from Michigan whose been playing guitar for 44 years. Two years ago I bought a EH-150 Gibson lap steel and got hooked on slidin'.After finding out about the Forum, I started visiting and learning about the world of pedal steel players and ended up buying a Stage One from a member.I love the sound of this instrument and am learning on my own but I want to say Thanks to The Forum for being here and to all out there who help us new guys feel welcome and find out information about this instrument. _________________ Derby,Stage One Steel,EH-150 Lap Steel,Tele,Strat,Session 400,Nashville 112 |

David,
Let me be the first to welcome you to this great forum. I wish all this information had been available when I started some 35 years ago... Have fun and enjoy!

David, welcome to the wonderful world of neat notes.
It's an addiction. There is no cure. Relief comes from wearing picks and holding a bar... |

Welcome to the Steel Guitar Forum. I can only echo the thoughts of Ray and Larry above. The more you progress on steel the more you will be hooked. This is the greatest place to be for a wealth of information from hundreds of collective years of experience. The brothers & sisters here are great. Read everything you can and enjoy yourself. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Zeke |
