what is the nut-bridge spacing on the Fender that
Cindy plays? i count 30 frets. isn't that a lot?

Not for a 24" scale.

The length/spacing you refer to is scale length, like Don mentioned.

24 1/2".

You can tell at a glance which scale a Stringmaster is:
The 22 1/2" scale has 2 fret markers above the 24th fret.
The 24 1/2" scale has 3.
The 26" scale has 4.
