I'm checking out iPhone apps and found this one, which claims to be accurate to 1/100th Hz, and appears to be able to hone in on a one- or two-cent variation. One has to wonder how accurate the mic on the iPhone is. Of course, I've seen those phones do some pretty amazing stuff... |

I have never given any thought to using a phone or any other such device to tune my instruments. Before I did however, I think I would first test this theory on an actual, electronic tuner to see how accurate the Iphone would be.
From my experience with these little phones, according to the price of each model, have different speaker systems and definite frequency variations. |
