After years of being a "Vintage Guitar" Player I took the plunge and bought a 2006 Mullen. I told myself I would never by a new guitar but when I found the right used onne I would do it. Well thanks to Jerry Newberry, Jerry Hubbell, and God I found it and brought it home Sunday night. I've been told it is Jr Knights old guitar. It's 9 & 8.
I can't believe the difference in playing a newer model guitar. The pedals are so smooth and it sounds awesome! I have old lazy habits that this guitar will not allow which is ok. It will just make me a better player. Just thought I would share my little blessing with you all. _________________ D-10 JCH Dekley U-12 D-8 Magnatone Mullen RP Evans RE 200 profex 2 BJS bars

YEp it's a beauty! Dana Tell Randy it plays nightlife but it keeps wanting to swing it. ( Guess I did buy the right guitar hehehehehe)Bill I think I could sqeak some Louie Armstrong out of this one. Brian my JCH is a great guitar but is very old. It was built in 1981 and has averaged at least 20 hours a week of playing time over the last 15 years from me. I still love the guitar, will fix it up someday, and have no intentions of selling this great peice of history. The bad habits I was talking about is that with the loose pedals on old Black Jack (JCH) I was used to leaning on the 2nd pedal with my foot. Can't do that on this one!!!But I love how well it responds. It should also help with my tuning and intonation. To be honest the fret boards on the JCH were crooked and I had to compensate that with my bar. (another bad habit I gotta break. Anyway I am all ready lovin this guitar and the folks at Mullen build a great one. The tone on this ax is superb. I was used to the hard blocky sound of E-66s and had to compensate for that. I love my tone on the front neck especially. The sad part is I blew my amp right before I got the guitar.( My bad, long stupid story, don't ask hehehehe) So I am waiting for Jerry and the folks from Evans to get that blunder fixed.Their are so many great guitars out their and I am glad I found one of them. Thank you for all your welcomes. I'm having sum fun now!!!!!! _________________ D-10 JCH Dekley U-12 D-8 Magnatone Mullen RP Evans RE 200 profex 2 BJS bars

Way to go Scotty. That's a beautiful guitar. I know you'll love it. I just got my second G2 and I love it. Mullen really knows how to build a guitar. Hopefully I can hear you play it at the Christmas party. _________________ www.joshturner.com

About that guitar you bought. if that is the same
coffee colored guitar i think it is. The last time
that i hear him play it at the Texas convention,
He had the best sounding equipment by far of everyone
that played that week end. I couldn't believe that
shortly after that he had it up for sale with no takers. If i wouldn't have had a new zum on order.i
would have bought it for sure, it is also one of the
best looking guitars that i've seen. Good luck And enjoy it.
Also, i think when i heard him play, He
was only using a goodrich effects unit.

Thanks to all. I am finaly getting her dialed in and getting my own mechanics dialed in. I have the most incorrect foot action in the world and am finding out how much the effects your playing. But I love the ease of this guitar and knowing when you hit a pedal it's going to be true. Life is good. _________________ D-10 JCH Dekley U-12 D-8 Magnatone Mullen RP Evans RE 200 profex 2 BJS bars
