Time to replace the battery in a ProFex II. Any idea how I can back up the settings? I don't have a card for it. Thanks, Rich

Hi Rich,

If you don't have a card, all you can do is make notes of all the patches you like, and manually re-enter them. That's a pain.

I'm not a midi guy, so maybe there's a way to copy patches using midi commands, but that's above my pay grade.

One more thing...since you need to replace that battery anyway, you'd be best off contacting Ken Fox and buying one of the batteryless memory chips. No more battery worries after that.

Best of luck, my friend.

Hi Rich, as Mike mentioned it's possible to backup your presets through MIDI but if you're not familiar with MIDI it most likely means you don't have the MIDI tools to do a backup using MIDI.

I will agree with Mike the easiest and most professional way to backup your Profex 2 is to send it off to Ken Fox and let him upgrade it to the battery-less mod and backup your presets at the same time then he can load them back on your Profex 2 and send it back.
