Howdy Hi Bobby-
I'm a new member and I appreciate the welcoming attitude of this forum. I would appreciate knowing the dates for your main TSGA convention, and would also like to be on your mailing or e-mailing list. I have loved the steel guitar for years but personal circumstances have kept me under a rock for most of a decade. Those circumstances have changed (I'm getting a divorce) and I'm poking my head out and looking around. What an amazing thing to have the forum- what a difference from even 12 years ago when I got my first steel. Anyway I hope to be able to make it down to your convention and say howdy in person. Thanks very much. |

Sage: Welcome to the forum . . . 
Here's info on the upcoming annual TSGA Jamboree . . . located about 5 minutes' shuttle/taxi ride from DFW airport.
March 8 - 11, 2001 TSGA Jamboree
I believe the Harvey Hotel has a free shuttle from DFW Airport. You might check with them on that if you will be flying in. In fact, I understand it's time to make reservations if you want to stay at the Harvey itself at the special steel guitar rates. If the Harvey is full by the time you make your reservations, you might ask them for names and phone numbers of several motels/hotels in the immediate area (a couple are next door or across the street). The hotel staff at this Harvey Hotel have always been exceptionally helpful and gracious to everyone from what I have heard.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it this year!
