Got two T-logo bakelites here, I suppose within a year or two of each other. Wondering about whether they used different tuners within that time frame. Below are pics, the top being what I'd expect to see, with the yellowish, almost ivoroid-like material that doesn't seem to deteriorate too badly, and with a thinner hard-edged profile. Below that is the other one, with seemingly original tuners, and the buttons do look old, but they're a slightly rounder, fatter profile and the material is a glossier, brighter white, almost pearly type of plastic. Anyone ever see this latter type of tuner button on these guitars? Thanks.

Those white ones on the bottom look like replacement buttons. I had to put some on mine. It used to have the yellow ones like up top. |

Yeah, I know they do in the pics, but in real life they look older and different from the generic replacement buttons everyone uses. If I knew they were replacements I'd replace them again with something that looks more like the typical ones on top, but I don't want to go taking them off if they might be original. |

Ricknebacher used what they could get and what they had in stock. Those tuners are likely both vintage and original. |

Here's another one from the same vintage with what looks like the fatter, whiter tuner buttons:
Link to auction on eBay.
I'm goin' with original. |
