I have a wide mount Emmons style Tonealigner pickup that a Forum member wants to install in a Carter. Does anyone know if it will fit okay?

Thanks,

Lynn

On most pick-ups you might need to grind a little of it off.. Don't know about Tone Aligners.
I have done it with a table saw...
Be careful.. Whoa!

Bob was specifically unable to make Tonealigners that fit Carters at first. He now does make them. Therefore I would expect that you will have problems and that a Tonealigner not specifically spec'd for a Carter will not fit one.
However, not knowing exactly what Bob did, it is possible that he changed all the Emmons-mount pickups to the plate size that fits Carter's cavity. But even if that were the case, you'd need to know when that change occurred, relative to the age of your pickup. Which may be irrelevant if the Carter & Emmons plates remain separate & distinct.

Simply, you really need for the Carter owner to take exact measurements of his cavity. It's the only way to be certain.
