Does any one have a list of shows that will be ging on on March the 2nd and 3rd of 2001? If there are none we re trying to get a smaller venue to have another one here in the Jacksonville Florida area. I guess you all think were all nuts for thinking about another one, but we really are!! Hehehehe!
Please send us some e-mail if your interested or have information of any other shows you know of in the time period above. We have been in touch with several places that would be great and would work out fine for our plans.
Let us know, Bob Taylor/Lonnie Portwood, Jax Jam 2001 e-mail rogues@mediaone.net and we'll start working on it...
Thanks, Bob Taylor

Bob, you and Lonnie haven't learned anything. Putting on steel shows can become addictive |

Dear Bob,
I do quite a few shows around the country and I'm not aware of any on those dates. If you can use me on the show, let me know as I would be happy to come back.
Thanks,
Herby Wallace

Hi Bob,
Congratulations with your success with the Jax Jam. It's encouraging to see someone planning even more steel guitar activity in our state.
The 2nd Annual Sacred Steel Convention will be held in Sanford, FL March 30 and 31, 2001.
Please see the posting elsewhere in Events and Announcements.
Although this would be considered an "alternative music" SG convention by most, there is a growing number of mainstream and country steelers who will be attending or appearing as guest artists. There will also be vendor participation.
It seems that combined with the Plant City, FL show in mid-January, the schedule would be getting pretty dense with yet two more conventions in the northern half of the state in March. It would be a shame to see any of these events suffer because too many steel guitar shows/conventions are held in the region in less than three months time.
The above is just my opinion, of course. But I wasn't sure you were aware of how the Sacred Steel convention is building momentum.
Best regards and good luck with all your worthy endeavors.
